Hello, I have purchased "pro".  I have had some people subscribe from my site.  That part works.

I composed a plain text test and sent it out, it worked.

I composed an html newsletter, tried to save it and it disappeared.

I have a few questions on composing and sending newsletters.

1.  I opened the plain text test for editing and when I saved, the newsletter disappeared, where did it go?

2.  I composed and saved a html newsletter, it also disappeared, where did it go?

3.  Is there a standard template that I can use to compose html newsletters or will any work? I was using a free one from mailchimp.  I am OK with hardcoding html.

4.  I am new to composing and sending html newsletters, I cannot find tutorial on how to run a campaign in joomla.  Are there step by step turorials on how to run your first campaign?

Thanks

Jeff

Hello Jeff.

Thank you for posting here.

NS Pro can handle HTML newsletters. Any HTML that might be cleared off, is from the WYSIWYG editor.

The 'disappearing' newsletters, are very easily explained.

Subscribers, Newsletters and Mailing Lists have the same pagination.

So if you go to page 5 (of 20 per page) in Subscribers, and then get to the Newsletters, NS Pro will try to show you the 5th page of 20s in Newsletters. Which there isn't any.

So, to solve this, just go to the first page in the subscribers.

That, of course, until I fix this to have different pagination.

NS Pro doesn't save HTML templates for newsletters, but you can save it somewhere and then just copy it when you create a new newsletter.

NS Pro doesn't handle any campaigns for now, keeping it within the simple model. Each newsletter is a newsletter, without connection to the others.

Please do not hesitate to post again if you want to clear out some point.

Thank you again

Thanks, I found the "lost" newsletters.

You mentioned mailing lists,  I would like to compose a testing mailing list with just two or three addresses so I can view the newsletter before I send to the world.

How do I make a custom list for testing and where would I find it.

I may be asking a lot more questions before I become experienced with NS mailer and NS pro

Sincerely

Jeff

So, I have figured out how to send to just my email for testing. Done in the toolkit tab.

I would like to have an unsubscribe link on the email to allow subscribers to opt out.  Is this possible?  Can the unsubscribe link automatically change in the list?

I would also like a link to open the newsletter in a browser. Is this possible?

How can I test to see Plain text version?

Sincerely

Jeff

Hello again.

Sure you can include an unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

Just write {unsubscribe_link} or {unsub_quick}Your text here{/unsub_quick} and see how it works.

As for viewing a newsletter in the front-end, please explore a little bit with the NS Pro menu items. You should be able to see a newsletter list layout.

As for sending the newsletter in a plain text, would you like to send me a mail about that? (mavrosxristoforos@gmail.com)

Thank you
