Newsletter Subscriber is a free Joomla! Plugin and Module..! It provides simple functionality. It is a form to subscribe to a newsletter (or whatever else you want). When the user clicks on the button, it sends an email (joomla email settings should be correct) to the recipient specified (by the administrator).

To use it you add {*newsletter_subscriber*} (without the *s) into your article when in plugin or you just install it and use it as a module.. If you want, you can have both the module and the plugin..! You can name the two fields provided the way you want, although I only thought of them as Name and Email. Very simple to use, all user text is customizable. Please do not redistribute or link directly to newsletter_subscriber.zip. If you do want to supply it, please provide a link to this page. New features! 17/06/09

New parameter: Fixed URL. Now you can choose where to post NS data. This fixes many problems (empty post pages and many more). (Note: The target page must have NS)

New parameter: Unique Identifier. Now you can have NS multiple times in a simple page without any effort at all..!

New parameter: Anti-spam. Now you can have an anti-spam control with a simple click. Simple question-answer anti-spam control was suggested by Mike at sandboxgamemaker.com

Code update: I updated the code in a more properly organized way. ( for those that do add a hack or two ;-) )

New feature! 18/05/09

Added a parameter about HTTPS problems. It seems that NS had a bug when https was enabled by host.

Also, (finally!) I fixed the module class suffix & changed the class suffix (for plugin).

This means that you no longer need custom css to use Newsletter Subscriber.
