I have tested on NS Pro 1.3 and 1.4. I have a large newsletter - around 55 KBytes of html code. I edit the code in Dreamweaver. When I add new newsletter I go into the text editor click on the "Toggle editor" button, paste the code and after that click again on the "Toggle editor" button. The newsletter looks fine. Then I click on the "Save" button and save the newsletter. When I open it again it is cut before the end of the html code.

Could you tell me if I can increase the max size of the newsletter or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

p.s. Further investigation shows that when I add the same content in an article there is no problem.

p.s.s. Also tested on your demo NS Pro. It does not work there, too.

ALTER TABLE `jos_nspro_newsletters` CHANGE `message` `message` MEDIUMTEXT CHARACTER SET utf8 COLLATE utf8_general_ci NULL DEFAULT NULL

fixes the problem...

p.s. please consider changing the value in future releases if database is being upgraded.

So, you mean that if I change the message field from TEXT to MEDIUMTEXT it works?

BTW, 55kb of code in a newsletter is quite much.

Excuse my delayed reply.

Yes, the MEDIUMTEXT field in MySQL supports up to 2MB of text. The TEXT field is only 64KB.

We have a medical journal and there are a few articles and they became quite large and we needed that change.

I will have this on my mind in case anyone appears with similar problems.

Although, I couldn't make so big fields in the db, because many users have size restrictions.
