Believe it or not, but that deprecation warning is produced by core Joomla code!
In libraries/src/Language/Text.php line 69 , it calls Factory::getLanguage instead of Factory::getApplication()->getLanguage();
I have temporarily set "Error Reporting" to "None" in your Global Configuration > Server tab, and the bounce check completed successfully.
Plus, the configured settings are using SSL, as they are supposed to.
So, I know it's hard to believe, but this one needs to be resolved by the Joomla volunteers. This deprecation warning occurs only in J5.
I'll try to open an issue about it.
